Principal Message

Stevenson Families,

As we wrap up another wonderful week at Stevenson Elementary, we want to take a moment to celebrate our students and staff. Our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students did an amazing job on the State Reading Assessment this week! We are so proud of the effort, perseverance, and positive attitudes they demonstrated. These assessments provide valuable information that helps teachers better understand students' strengths and areas for growth, ensuring they receive the instruction and support they need throughout the school year.

We also had a fantastic turnout at our 4th-6th Grade Science Fair Information Night. Thank you to all of the families who attended and learned more about this exciting opportunity. Families need to purchase a Science Fair display board by October 4th via the link.

Today, we officially kicked off our Mega Blast fundraiser, and the excitement was evident across campus! Funds raised through this year's event will support additional bathroom renovations at Stevenson Elementary and help us continue providing a positive learning environment for all students. We appreciate your support as we work together to make our school even better.

Our next step is to ask each of you to take action TONIGHT by clicking the link below:

This entire fundraiser can be completed in less than 10 minutes! This link will take you to our school’s fundraising website where you can:

  • Register and set up your child’s personal donation page

  • Invite family and friends to join our efforts by sending them an email

  • Share the fundraiser on social media platforms

Send out 10 or more valid emails via your personal donation page TONIGHT. Have your student return their Golden ticket to school starting Monday. By doing this, your student will qualify for the 4 Golden Ticket prizes shown on the letter and will also be entered into the drawing for the $100 Amazon Gift Card! More information about the fundraiser and this program is available in the packet your student received today and through the link. Also know all personal information will be used only for this one-time fundraiser. It will remain confidential and will never be sold, reused, rented, or shared by the company.

Looking ahead to next week, our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will take the State Math Assessment on Tuesday. We know they will work hard and do their very best. Also on Tuesday, we invite families to join us for our SAC and PVFO meetings at 4:15 p.m. in the Media Center. Your involvement and partnership are greatly appreciated.

Finally, we would like to share that Merritt Island High School will be hosting You Matter Day on Saturday, September 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This community event promotes connection, support, and well-being, and we encourage families to attend if they are able.

That's it for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll see you Monday in the car loop.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fleeger
