We’ve had a truly fantastic start to the school year! It was wonderful to welcome back our 1st through 6th grade students, and we had an especially great time greeting our tiniest Penguins—our kindergarteners. Their excitement and energy brought so much joy to our campus, and we’re thrilled to see everyone settling in so well.
A big congratulations to the 65 families who discovered and answered my hidden question link last week! You earned 30 minutes of volunteer service just for answering one question—way to go! Don’t forget to look for and answer this week’s question to earn your 30 minutes too!
We’re also excited to invite parents to become Classroom Pals this year! If you’re interested in volunteering and supporting our classrooms, simply click the interest form. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in our school community.
Looking ahead to next week, we have several exciting events planned. Our Book Fair will be open Monday through Friday in the Media Center, with evening hours available during our 1st through 6th grade Open House on Thursday, August 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Families planning to attend Open House should RSVP using the link and select the presentation time slot they’ll be attending. We’re also kicking off our Read-a-Thon fundraiser next week! This is a wonderful opportunity to promote literacy and support our school. Funds raised will help provide teacher trainings and supplemental educational materials. We appreciate your patience with dismissal this week. While it’s been a bit long, we’re confident that as more families begin using our Penguin Walk dismissal option, wait times will improve. If you’d like to change your child’s dismissal route to Penguin Walk, please let your child’s teacher know.
