Stevenson Families,
Wow, I just can't believe it's October already. Time sure is flying and everyone is hard at work here at school. This week, we spent time visiting math classrooms across our school, and we were incredibly impressed with the instruction and learning taking place. It was exciting to see the strategies our teachers are providing students and, even more importantly, to watch our students put those strategies into action. The level of engagement, critical thinking, and problem solving we observed was tremendous. We are so proud of the hard work happening in our classrooms each day!
Today also brought a little extra fun to campus with our Fantasy-Themed Paid Out of Uniform Day! We loved seeing the creativity and personality our students brought to their outfits. We captured some great pictures throughout the day, so be sure to watch our Facebook page for some of the fun!
Next week, we are excited for Mega Blast on Wednesday! Students who return their signed permission slips by Monday will be able to participate, so please make sure those forms are returned on time.
I do have an important safety reminder. Students cannot be dropped off before 8:30 am. We have recently noticed many students arriving before that time, and we do not have staff available to provide supervision. Our staff is involved in meetings, conferences, and other responsibilities before 8:30 am. Beginning next week, we will contact families individually when a student is dropped off early. (Hidden Question) Please remember that our choice contract requires families to provide transportation within our designated school hours. Most importantly, we want to make sure every student is safe and supervised while on campus, and we greatly appreciate your help.
That's it for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll see you Monday in the car loop!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleeger
